About the Author – P. Williams

I write the kind of stories that stick with you long after you’ve finished them—where quiet streets hide old secrets, and the darkness is never as empty as it seems.

I’m the author of Breakdown, Overgrowth, and The New Girl, supernatural thrillers that blend the tension of psychological suspense with the unease of Southern Gothic. Readers tell me they come for the twists, but stay for the atmosphere—the sensory details, the creeping dread, and the characters caught between survival and surrender.

The Stories

  • The New Girl – In a small town wrapped in pine forest and rumor, a group of friends welcomes a strange new arrival into their summer plans… only to find that her secrets are older than the town itself.
  • The Nightfall Series
    • In Breakdown, Evan Engles is stranded on a desolate Alabama highway during a relentless storm, only to be pulled into a brutal encounter that shatters his understanding of the world. What begins as a fight for survival becomes a descent into a hidden war between predators that walk in human skin.
    • In Overgrowth, Evan is still haunted by the night he was bitten, and has turned his curse into a weapon. He hunts the creatures that made him. When a string of disappearances leads to a predator hiding in plain sight, Evan must navigate small-town suspicion, old debts, and the growing suspicion that he’s becoming exactly what he hunts.
    • In Undergrowth, Evan meets Sam—a survivor with dangerous instincts—and Ruth, a hunter whose maps tell stories no one wants to believe. Together, they uncover a pattern of killings that point to an older, hungrier force. Sam’s transformation blurs the line between ally and predator, and Ruth’s hard truths may come too late. The deeper they go, the more the city’s secrets tighten around them.

Who I Am

I’ve always loved horror films, ghost stories, and local legends. I grew up around landscapes that begged to be turned into fiction: abandoned mills, deep woods, and small towns where the past feels close enough to touch.

My background in information technology, software development, and data analytics might seem far removed from writing, but it’s taught me how to spot patterns, structure complex ideas, and build worlds that feel both real and unsettling.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually exploring off-the-map places, reading obscure folklore, or thinking up new ways to make my readers’ skin crawl (in the best possible way).
